The Mill Inn - home from home
I have stayed at the Mill now on at least 13 occasions, for a week at a time, whilst studying at the University. It has become a home from home with warm hospitality, extremely comfortable rooms, great food and a willingness to please seldom found in other hotels. All at reasonable prices! Pity about sky Sports though!!

Great place to stay

Still great
Second time at the Mill and equally great. The staff are so friendly you feel you are special guests, and the rooms are beautifully furnished, warm, quiet and home from home. We had been to an afternoon function so didn't have dinner at the Mill, but we felt peckish by 9.00pm so had soup and some cheese. Really tasty and satisfying. All in all a great stay and we will definitely be back.

Superb small, friendly hotel
Stayed at The Mill for the first time and would strongly recommend it to anyone. So good to stay in a family run establishment - made such a change from "chain hotels". My room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and so quiet! The food was superb - very good quality locally sourced ingredients, beautifully presented. Redcurrant sauce with lamb shank was the best I've tasted. Not an enormous menu - always a good sign - but a good selection. Really relaxed atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff - I was made to feel very welcome and nothing would have been a bother. Very comfortable lounge, hotel well maintained and attractively decorated throughout. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone and look forward to going back.

A Great Find

Nice room, cold shower
Excellent compact and clean room. Unfortunately the shower didn't work properly, the only way to get a hot shower was to run cold taps. Excellent breakfast and helpful staff though

Wonderful experience
We stayed for a night on our way to Scotland and wished we were staying for longer.The staff were all very welcome and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and recently refurbished. The food was wonderful. We will be back.

A night at "The Mill"

A find.
We stayed only one night a The Mill, on our way to Scotland.A real find,lovely room,canal views and close to the M6. Great breakfast and friendly staff. We will come back next year for a few days and explore more of the area.

The Mill Condor Green
We stayed at The Mill Condor Green in October for six nights. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, tea & coffee facilities plus Bathroom essentials attended to daily. The food was very good and reasonably priced resulting with non guests dining there. The service was friendly and efficient. We had a great time and would retun if in the area again.
The only negative was the narrow lane leading to the hotel but the Manageress showed us a route with better roads, a bit longer but much safer.

Third vist to the Mill
Our third trip to the Mill and the best yet. We really enjoyed the newly redocorated bedrooms. Spectacular scenery as always. Staff helpfull and friendly and food delicious. A perfect base to walk from and explore surrounding area. We will be back !

Weekend stay

our very quick stay
we stayed over at 'the mill at conder green' as a pit stop between marlborough (wilts) and durham as our son goes to the grammar school in lancaster and he wanted to visit durham with the view of studying there for a degree. we arrived late, which was no problem for the helpful staff. we had to leave earlier than expected as we had to be in durham by 9:30. although we left too early for breakfast, the kind lady on reception provided us with loads of fruit and lemon drizzle cake, which happened to be a favourite with us, to take away with us. the rooms were amply large, very clean and comfortable. there were tea, coffee and chocolate making facilities and the room was lovely and warm. the room overlooked the carpark and probably fields (but we came in the dark and left in the dark, so guess work here) but we did hear lowing cows! it was very quite which suited us fine. the bed was comfortable, warm and smelt fresh. the room pleasantly decorated.I slept really well (unheard of in a strange bed).
The next time we come to lancaster to stay over we would not hesitate to stay here and maybe even sample their menu of locally sourced food which looked delicious but we never had time to taste. many thanks for a quick but pleasant stay.

marvellous in many ways
Lovely spot by a canal. We stayed in two rooms at the back of the hotel overlooking the lock. Both were newly decorated and quite well furnished. One had a separate sitting area. Clean and nice bathroom too.Food was excellent and staff all very pleasant and helpful. Reasonable charges too.I think they need a new picture as the one on the web site doesn't do the place justice. Good heart breakfast included. I will be back!

The Mill at Conder Green
Very friendly staff; modern and beautifully clean room; excellent food. Just one complaint - an extractor unit that hummed all night; we mentioned it in the morning and the manager apologised and told us it should be set to switch off at 11.30pm and it would be looked into.

Flying High
Stayed at The Mill as my husband was taking part in a sky dive on Sunday 18th September. We decided to stay on the Friday and Saturday and have a relaxing few days. What a lovely hotel. Friendly staff, excellent food and they even gave us a packed lunch as we had to set off early on the Sunday. Thank you and we will definitely be back - but not jumping this time!!!

Fanatastic
The cleanliness of the hotel is second to none. The decor is lovely and the bedrooms such a high standard and so comfortable. My husband is disabled and the accessabilty is brilliant.
But most of all the staff are so friendly and very helpfull and customer service excellent. Highly recommended and we will be returning.

Great hotel with helpful staff
The hotel is very clean, attractively decorated and the staff are very helpful. We had a great meal in the restaurant and it was good value for money. We also liked the focus on local food on the menu. When we arrived our room was nice but smelt strongly of paint. I asked to be moved and the staff sorted this out very quickly and the room they moved us too was much better. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to others.

A Hidden Gem!
We stayed at The Mill on a stopover from Scotland with our two children, 14 and 11. The motivation and enthusiasm of the staff shone through from the moment we stepped through the door, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was light and airy, a good size and had lovely views over the canal and countryside. The room (room 5) was ideal for families with older children as it had a small partition wall and we didn't feel all crammed in together. Dinner was superb, and the staff suggested they could alter any dish the children wanted if there was a particular ingredient they didn't like. Overall, an excellent stay, we would have like to have stayed longer.

Loved it!
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights as a relaxing weekend break after a few stresful weeks and it couldn't have been nicer! Beautiful setting by the canal with a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Staff are lovely, (special mention for Duncan), rooms newly decorated and spacious, and fab food. Great value for money. We will be back!

1 night
We stayed as some refurbishments were taking place and some of the things we thought ought to be considered had indeed been considered. So I anticipate that very shortly everything will be tickety-boo. The breakfast selection was interesting and the smoked haddock was excellent. The country location near to Lancaster and to Glasson Dock made for a good experience.

Relaxing night in pleasant surroundings.
Staying at the Mill at Conder Green was a delightful experience.
The staff were exceptionally helpful and attentive throughout our visit. The room was comfortable and well equipped and the menu for the evening meal was imaginative, offering a good range of local produce.
The only minor issues were the pillows, the rather hard bed and the sumptious duvet which was rather overwhelming on a warm night.
However, I would recommend the Inn to friends and it was a perfect location to stay before a tandem skydive experience.

Fab
The new owners are renovating this hotel to an excellent standard, our room was spacious comfortable and modern.
The staff should be praised as they are extremely well motivated and offer a first class experience.
The food was to a high standard except for the english breakfast which seeemed to differ in quality each day lacking in continuety.
Fab location away from it all but close to many different attractions, you must visit the Trough of Bowland so serene and peacefull.
Overall we had a lovely time and will return in the future

First Class
We've stayed at the Mill on several occasions and have always loved it. The recent refurb has been a great improvement. It is a peaceful and friendly place to stay with lovely views over fields and the Lancaster Canal. The food is brilliant and the staff are very friendly. Great to see Hugo was still there and was as professional as always. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely room & great service
I stayed at the hotel with a group of friends as we were attending a wedding nearby. Staff were very helpful and even gave us a lift to the wedding venue. Breakfast the next morning was served very quickly and was excellent quality. The room was lovely - very comfy bed & very nice bathroom. The curtain rail was broken and fell off when I tried to close/ open but that was the only thing wrong in the room. Would certainly stay again if I was in the area.

A great family room
This is a great hotel. I was staying with 3 small children. There was a good secure play area for them. The room could easily have accommodated more it was nice to finally get a decent sized family room. The hotel had recently deen decorated and there was a very strong smell in the room still. There was also a problem at check in as they couldn't find my details but this was resolved extremely efficiently. Breakfast was very good. I would definately stay again

We stayed at The Mill At Conder Green in July 2011 and found it to be great value for money. Our particular room was in need of upgrading, especially the shower, but the management seemed to be aware of this.
The room was clean if compact and with usual facilities.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the meals service at both breakfast and dinner was excellent.
Highly recommended at the price.
